Can we please stop with the myth that bindis no longer have religious meaning?

I would not enter a temple or any other place of worship without a bindi.

I would not attend a religious ceremony without a bindi.

I would not attend a funeral without a bindi.

I would not get married without a bindi.

I’m pretty pissed off right now that somebody can say “bindis no longer have religious meaning” as if they are speaking for all Hindus and have people repeat it verbatim as if it were fact.

IT’S NOT FUCKING TRUE. 

My faith requires me to wear a bindi and when you appropriate it you are shitting all over my religion.
